I've been wanting to work out really badly recently but whenever I find something with pre-planned exercises either they're too complicated or it's too hard. I finally found one that is perfect for me! Do it with me!

Collage Glue
When I was younger I was in this art class and one day we made collage bookmarks and I love mine! I still use it all the time because its so pretty! For my dad's birthday I decided that I wanted to make him a collage! I have wanted to make another collage for a long time but I couldn't remember what type of glue was used to keep the paper down and that would dry clear/ not cover up the photos.
Some people could think I'm really stupid like "why didn't you just use watered down glue? Duh." and the answer why is because I just wasn't sure and if I was going to make a collage I wanted it to look nice the first time instead of using up all that time for nothing. So for all the people who are unsure (like me), here is a clarification, which is watered down glue.
1) Take your glue and pour it out onto a plate
2) Add water to it and start mixing it, adding more and more water until its "liquidy" instead of sticky
3) Apply to your collage with a paintbrush as demonstrated
4) Let it be so it can dry! It can look a little wet and bubbly but when it dries there are no traces of the bubbles!
Here is my master-piece! I am very excited to give it to my dad!

Skull Art
So over the weekend I was very very bored so I decided to draw/ paint something! I decided to draw a skull so I looked up "skulls" on google images and found the image on the left and my results are on the right.
I drew the skull and its features and then began painting in the eyes with black paint because I thought that would be the easiest to paint first.
After that I outlined the head and then I outlined all of the other features very lightly because I was going to go over everything twice.
Here's the second layer and the finished piece!
Viola! It was really fun to draw and paint, and I am still contemplating on whether I want to draw cross bones, but I don't want to ruin it if I do... We shall see!

DIY: String Heart
So Mother's Day is soon, and usually I am horrible at getting/making gifts on time but I decided I would be efficient this year! I looked up DIY Mother's Day gifts and I found this string heart "do it yourself" on http://greenweddingshoes.com/ so I did not come up with this wonderful idea, sadly. But it was very fun to make and didn't take too much time.
Materials:
- piece of wood
- string – I used the pink neon thin rope you can find at Home Depot, but you could use any yarn or string
- box of nails (you want a nail with a decent head so the string won't pop off)
- hammer
- paper to draw the heart on
- ruler
Steps:
1) Lay your paper of the piece of wood and tape it down. Draw your heart, and what I did next was make a dot every half-inch around the entire outline of the heart with a ruler. I guess it would depend how large or small your piece of wood is to determine the spacing of the nails.
2) Take your hammer and nail on the dots that you made around the entire outline of the heart.
3) Once you're done remove the paper and examine your work!
4) Next, take your string and tie a knot on one of the nails really tight so that it doesn't slip off. Then just keep stringing the string on different nails until every individual nail has been wrapped around or when you are satisfied with how it looks.
5) [Optional] You can outline the heart to make the shape "pop" a little more. Either wrap it around each nail to create the outline or you can just loop it around the entire thing.
6) When you are all done tie a knot (or few) on one of the nails and viola!
Since this project was so fun to make and a great present for Mother's Day, I decided to make a few more for my Grandma, Grammie and my step mom but they are a lot smaller than the one I made for my mom, but the procedure is the same.
